Queen of the City grew from my fascination with Charlotte’s namesake and the story of her African ancestry, which connects many people to her image. A portrait by Sir Allan Ramsay shows the young Queen Charlotte beside her crown; I imagined her wearing it. My interpretation presents a confident young woman claiming her place and power. This set contains two packages of ten blank 5 × 7 notecards, with ten envelopes in each package. Keep one package and give the other as a gift.
